Mak’n Somt’n from Not’n
The Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to creating global awareness of, profitability and sustainability of African American businesses and entities that support the Gullah Geechee community.
Aunny’s Country Kitchen
With a heart for community, Aundrea Denise Nicholson Johnson and her husband, Charles opened “Aunny’s Country Kitchen”, a down-home, family restaurant in Georgetown, SC.
Known for their flavorful and filling breakfast, lunch and dinner, hungry folks travel from afar to enjoy this locally owned restaurant celebrating the best in Gullah Geechee cooking traditions.
The advocacy of the Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce is embedded in social justice movements set forth by our ancestors, Esau Jenkins, Septima Clark, Robert Smalls, Ruby Middleton Forsythe, James A. Bowley, Denmark Vesey, Joseph Hayne Rainey, amongst others; and the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development goals.
Our leading advocacy issue is addressing climate change, the environment and sharing the opportunities available in the growing green, renewable energy fields.
